Smt. Hamsini Kumble is the artistic director of “Hamsaasya School of Dance”. She began learning Indian classical Bharatanatyam since the age of 4. She was trained in Mysore style under Guru Smt. Krishnaveni for several years to earn distinction in Karnataka State exam. She has taken part in many competitions all over India in her school years and has won Bal Shakti from Bal Bhavan. Smt. Hamsini Kumble has been awarded by Indian Union Minister- "Sri. Ramdas Athawale", “Merchants Association of Long Island” for her contribution to the community. She has been awarded by Nassau County for her contribution in preserving Indian culture. Asian American Activity Center has awarded her for her service to the Asian Community through teaching. Smt. Hamsini Kumble has won many appreciations in Various Organizations such as Kannada Kotta, New York, Telugu Literary and Cultural Association, Tamil Sangham, Malayalee Council, Kerala Center, Asian American Activity Center, IALI, Gujarati Samaj, Rajasthan AssociationHer love for teaching, introducing Indian culture through Bharatanatyam, Updating the skills and implementing new ideas, has encouraged many students to pursue Bharatanatyam.
