Information

I am Parul Mehta, founder of Navrus School of Performing Arts, a passionate creator, and classical dancer with 16 years of Kathak training. I’ve been teaching dance since I was 16, and I launched Navrus in March 2017 to blend classical and modern Indian dance styles for a global audience.

What began as a single class with five students has grown into a vibrant community with multiple locations and a structured, fun curriculum. Our school offers authentic instruction in Bollywood, Indian Classical, Bhangra, Garba, Folk, and more. We perform year-round at various events, contributing to Austin’s unique, inclusive culture. In 2019, we were honored with the ‘Best Creative Entrepreneur Award’ by the Greater Asian Austin Chamber of Commerce.”
