Study Buddy J first tutored math as a Harvard University undergrad, 40 years ago. Six years later, at Stanford University, he was trained in the latest tutoring methodology. He tutored and turned around the academic performance of a number of Stanford University Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and Mechanical Engineering students.

A year after he started tutoring at Stanford, Study Buddy J began tutoring students from other universities. During the 2011 - 2012 school year, Study Buddy J picked up a substantial number of high school math and science students, including Geometry students. As a Geometry tutor, he rescued many students from the jaws of defeat.
