Molly Das: Serial Entrepreneur and Founder of Insta Curry™

Molly Das, the founder of Insta Curry™, has spent decades redefining the way people experience food. Her journey began in hospitality, where she owned and operated hotels across Maryland, Oklahoma, and Florida from 1991 to 2001, managing over 100 employees across multiple locations.

In 2002, she pivoted to the restaurant industry, launching Portofino Ristorante, an Italian eatery that generated over $240,000 annually. This success solidified her passion for food and entrepreneurship, inspiring her to explore the vibrant flavors of her heritage.

In 2008, Molly trained with master chefs in Kolkata, India, mastering the art of authentic kathi rolls. She brought this culinary expertise to the San Francisco Bay Area, selling kathi rolls in Indian stores and movie theaters, where they quickly became a local favorite. Driven by the demand for her products, Molly transitioned to a factory-based mass-production model, scaling her operations while maintaining the authenticity of her recipes. With her extensive experience in hospitality, restaurant management, and food innovation, she created Insta Curry™, a line of freeze-dried Indian dishes that combine authentic flavors with modern convenience, proving that convenience and quality can go hand in hand.
