‘East Indians in Canada’ Part 7: They were born to rule

These are not the only Punjabis who have made a mark on Canadian politics. Many highly qualified professionals, including doctors, engineers, lawyers, health care providers, and captains of trade and industry, have not only shown their inclination towards politics but have also been scripted success stories since the turn of the century.
 
Some of those who progressed their way to the top in politics at different levels had their roots in various states of India, including Bihar (Jharkhand), Andhra Pradesh (Telangana), Kerala, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.
