India agrees to slash tariffs, says Trump

India has agreed to lower tariffs “way down,” President Donald Trump said March 7 as India's Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal concluded several days of closed-door talks with senior officials of the Trump administration.

“They've agreed—by the way, they want to cut their tariffs way down now because somebody's finally exposing them for what they've done,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office of the White House March 7, wherein he talked about the manufacturing turnaround.
