Directed by Jagat Joon and executive produced by Arora, 2 Khet has been well received by critics and audiences alike, securing this recognition at the Florida-based festival, which highlights South Asian cinema and filmmakers.
Arora’s presence at the festival extended beyond 2 Khet, as his latest project, You Are Early, was also screened. A collaboration with a Singaporean production house, the film features a cast of Singaporean actors and received a positive response from viewers.
Arora has been previously recognized for his work in international film festivals. In September 2024, his production Once Upon a Time in Lahore, also directed by Jagat Joon, won Best Film and Best Actor in a Short Film at the India International Film Festival of Boston. His directorial works, including Butterfly Wings, Once Again, and Expression, have received multiple awards.
The filmmaker is currently working on his next feature film, Vapsi, which is in pre-production. Vapsi explores the emotional and social realities of aging parents living alone in India while their only son resides abroad, raising thought-provoking questions about the true meaning of success—whether it lies in professional achievements or personal relationships.
