Prominent Punjabi artist Diljit Dosanjh is set to make an appearance on popular American late-night talk show “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.”
This marks a new milestone for Dosanjh, who has been in the headlines recently for selling out shows across the globe. His debut on the show also asserts the growing global influence and the rising prominence of Punjabi music and cinema.
The actor-singer shared the news on his Instagram on Jun.12, sending his fans into frenzy. "PANJABI AAGYE OYEE This Week’s Guest…,” Dosanjh wrote.
His announcement drew reactions from Bollywood, with actress Kareena Kapoor Khan commenting, “Uffff!” and Anil Kapoor and Neha Dhupia leaving clap emojis.
Earlier this year, Dosanjh performed at Vancouver’s BC Place stadium, drawing over 54,000 fans. Furthermore, the Sikh artist made history as the first Punjabi singer to perform at the prestigious Coachella music festival, further cementing his status as a global icon.
