Education nonprofit Vidya Jyoti hosts Bollywood Gala

The evening, themed "Spotlight on Your Inner Talent," was attended by supporters, sponsors, and community members

Vidya Jyoti, a charity organization founded by Indian American Pratibha Jairath hosted a Bollywood Glam Gala at the Ashyana Banquets in Chicago to raise funds for its mission of empowering students facing financial barriers in their educational journey.

The evening, themed "Spotlight on Your Inner Talent," was attended by supporters, sponsors, and community members ike Sunil Shah, Anil Loomba, Pinky and Dinesh Thakkar, Ashok Potdar, Mayur Ganger, Naresh Shah, Brij Sharma, and Shweta Baid.

Anita Beri, vice-president and treasurer of Vidya Jyoti delivered the welcome address which was followed by founder Jairath's remarks. A presentation highlighting the impact of Vidya Jyoti's initiatives such as the Dayanand Model School in Punjab to the Kohka Foundation in Madhya Pradesh enlightened the audience.

The highlight of the event was the participants' display of talent, which included dance, acting, impersonations, fashion, and more, all while dressed in stunning attire reflecting the rich tapestry of Indian culture.

"The true stars of the night were the generous contributors who poured their hearts and wallets into Vidya Jyoti's mission. Through monetary donations, checks, and commitments, they illuminated the path for countless young minds, proving that together, we can make dreams come true," a statement from the organizers stated.

Established in 2021, Vidya Jyoti, has impacted the lives of over 1,500 children and youth, guiding them towards a brighter future filled with opportunities.
