The Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) Chicago, led by Founder Chairman Sunil Shah, in collaboration with Mindful Meditation Yoga (MMY) under Yoga Guru Anu Malhotra, celebrated International Yoga Day on June.23 with a vibrant display of community spirit. The event, hosted at the Naperville Yard Indoor Sports Complex, drew an enthusiastic crowd of over 1,000 participants from diverse backgrounds, united in their passion for yoga, health, and harmony.
The day commenced with a yoga protocol session led by Anu Malhotra, a motivational speaker and yoga instructor. Supported by a team of over 30 volunteers, Malhotra and her team orchestrated a seamless experience of yoga, including a unique addition of live, therapeutic music led by Bhakti Yoga advocate Vipul Srivastava.
Dignitaries gracing the stage included FIA Founder Chairman Sunil Shah, who underscored yoga's role as a gift from India to the world, promoting unity and harmony. The event also saw contributions from local officials like Naperville Mayor Scott Wehrli and Consul Officer Sanjeev Pal, emphasizing the Ministry of AYUSH’s support and this year's theme of Women Empowerment.

Reflecting on the event, participant Krishna Chitturi remarked, "It is unity in serenity leading to a healthy mind and a healthy body."
