ICA President Prakash Agarwal announced a groundbreaking US$10 million fund on the occasion of the Indians for Collective Action 2024 event to further the organization’s mission of providing humanitarian aid and empowering communities in India.
The organization also raised over US$150,000 at the annual event, showcasing the generosity and dedication of its supporters.
The ICA 2024 was attended by over 250 dedicated participants to celebrate efforts in supporting humanitarian aid in India.theme "Transforming to a Healthier World," the event highlighted inspiring projects, energetic performances, and a shared commitment to creating positive change.
Guest speakers Ashish and Kavita Satav embodied the event's theme with their impactful work in improving healthcare for rural tribal communities in India. They shared inspiring stories about their efforts through Mahan Trust, a nonprofit focused on enhancing healthcare access and outcomes in underserved regions.
The event included a keynote speech by K. Srikar Reddy, who discussed his work to expand healthcare for marginalized communities in India. Michael Moritz, a well-known entrepreneur and philanthropist, also gave an engaging fireside chat about his career and his nonprofit, Crankstart, which supports underserved people in San Francisco.
Students from the Youth LEAD Program also shared their innovative projects, aimed at promoting education, health, and creativity among Indian students through virtual and in-person efforts.
