Indiaspora to host climate action forum at COP 28

In a bid to tackle critical climate change issues and showcase innovative projects by the Indian diaspora, Indiaspora is set to host the climate action forum at COP 28.
The event, scheduled for December 7 at the Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel, Business Bay, Dubai, UAE, will bring together experts and leaders to discuss pressing environmental concerns.
The Indiaspora recognised for its contributions to environmental sustainability and climate change solutions, will take center stage during the forum.
With India playing a pivotal role, as highlighted in the recent G20 Summit, the forum aims to empower, educate, inspire, and act on climate-related challenges, said a release.
Featuring 28 speakers from five countries, the forum will encompass engaging panel discussions on various topics, including sustainable technology, green finance, renewable energy, and the diaspora’s role in climate advocacy.
Notable speakers include Dominic Waughray from the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, Madhav Pai from WRI-India, faith leader BK Sister Jayanti, and Indian film actor Vivek Oberoi.
Indiaspora’s CEO in India, Sreekumar Nair, stated, “Building upon three years of organizing virtual global Climate Summits, our Climate Forum promises insightful and impactful dialogue. With a diverse group of speakers, including policymakers, entrepreneurs, business leaders, academics, and nonprofit executives, the event underscores the diaspora’s commitment to advancing global environmental agendas.”
