Shivinder Singh runs for Yorba Linda City Council post

The Indian American company owner has prioritized the community's empowerment and the preservation of Yorba Linda's distinctive identity.

Indian American businessman Shivinder Singh has announced his candidature for Yorba Linda City Council in northeastern Orange County, California.

According to his campaign website, Shivinder Singh, who is presently the chair pro tem of the Yorba Linda planning commission, would use his decades of demonstrated leadership and involvement in the community to make sure Yorba Linda continues to be known as the "Land of Gracious Living.”

Singh’s priorities include maintaining local government authority, property rights, equestrian rights, parental rights, public safety, economic development, accountability, and openness, as well as encouraging community involvement through empowerment and education.

“He will work tirelessly to unite the residents and preserve Yorba Linda’s heritage and safeguard Yorba Linda’s exceptional quality of life,” the statement said.

Having served the public for more than 25 years, the licensed electrical engineer holds a Master's degree in computer and electrical engineering, a certification in project management, and a background in business and technology that encompasses artificial intelligence, intelligent transportation systems, and active transportation.

Singh has over 23 years of experience as a successful business owner and CEO. He has served as the Brea Homeowners Association's president and secretary. Singh has been a Planning Commissioner for the past three years, and he previously worked as a Traffic Commissioner for the City.
