The remarkable throwback from the convocation day of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur’s batch of 1993 features Pichai, alongside Sharmistha Dubey, former CEO of Match Group.
Shared by Ananya Lohani, a software engineer, on X the picture captures a significant moment in time, with her father, a former batchmate of Sundar Pichai at IIT Kharagpur, featured prominently alongside the two industry stalwarts.

Sharmistha Dubey, an Indian-American executive, soared to prominence as the CEO of Match Group, overseeing popular dating applications such as OkCupid and Tinder. Raised in Jamshedpur during the 1970s and 1980s, Dubey's journey from her humble beginnings to the upper echelons of corporate leadership has been widely celebrated.
The unveiling of this archival gem has triggered a flurry of reactions across social media platforms, amassing more than half a million views since its emergence.
