As India celebrates its 78th year of Independence, it's a time to reflect on the exemplary individuals who have worked behind the scenes to help shape its presence as an emerging superpower. Among them is Andy Shenoy. A man whose quiet yet profound efforts have strengthened India-US relations for more than two decades.
Hailing from a modest background in India, Mr. Shenoy’s journey began with a humble start in the US. Over the years, his exceptional ability to bridge cultural and diplomatic divides between the two largest democracies has set him apart. As a distinguished and visionary leader, he has played a pivotal role in building economic, cultural, and educational relations between the two nations. His efforts to foster cross-cultural collaboration have included organizing numerous high-profile meetings between senior leaders at the White House and facilitating significant exchanges and agreements.
Mr. Andy Shenoy, who is also the proud father of two smart sons, Mr. Ajay and Mr. Vijay, has seen his children excel in their respective fields—Mr. Ajay pursued a degree in Computer Science Engineering in Cyber Security, while Mr. Vijay did his Master’s in Finance.
One of his notable accomplishments came in 2019-2020, during New Jersey Governor Philip Murphy’s visit to India. During this time, Mr. Shenoy coordinated key meetings between the Governor Philip Murphy and India’s top leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister
Dr. S. Jaishankar, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. These discussions paved the way for a robust bilateral alliance and trade relationship, making New Jersey home to one of the largest South Asian communities in the US.

His coordination efforts included meetings between US Vice President Mike Pence and Dr. Jaishankar, former Indian Foreign Secretary and Chief Advisor to Honorable Prime Minister Modi, as well as coordinated discussions between US National Security Advisor Michael Flynn and Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, emphasizing cooperation in the fight against international terrorism.
Beyond this, Mr. Shenoy facilitated high-level dialogues between US and Indian leaders on a bipartisan basis. As a special advisor to Governor George Pataki he had privilege and honour to coordinate a meeting with the late Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Governor George Pataki of New York State.

Mr. Shenoy has also coordinated a meeting with Empire State Developments Trade Mission to India under the leadership of Director of Partnerships Lauren Merkel and Director of International Investment Programs ED Kowalewski with Industry and Commerce Ministers of Karnataka and Maharashtra to develop business and investment opportunities for both sides.

He organized a reception where Protocol Secretary Raymond Martinez delivered a message from President George Bush, First Lady Laura Bush, and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in honor of the occasion. The event was further graced by the presence of Bollywood star and actress Deepika Padukone.
Mr. Shenoy has not only coordinated meetings with US leaders but also coordinated meetings between African Prime-Minister Mr. Daniel KBLAN and his cabinet ministers of the Republic of Cote d"Ivoire and representatives from New York State Govt Officials to discuss bilateral trade relations.

A humanitarian at heart, he has been honored with the Governor's Award of Excellence for his service to both state and nation. He was appointed as a Special Advisor to New York State Governor George Pataki. He has also served on multiple New York State Boards, currently serving as a Director on the Board of the United Nations Development Corporation.
