Contest Information: Ekal Vidyalaya presents “Dance Deewane” - a platform to share your passion and skill in dance on Saturday, November 23, 2pm onwards.
- Indian Classical Dance: Participate as a solo performer or in a group to showcase classical dance forms like Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Mohiniyattam, Kathakali, Manipuri, Sattriya, and Chau.
- Indian Non-Classical Dance: We welcome group entries (minimum 4 participants) showcasing Bollywood and Folk dance forms including Garba, Bhangra, Ghoomar, Lavani, Lezim, Bihu etc.
- Please note: Solo entrees are available for all ages in the Classical category. Group entrees are available only for Youth (Ages 12-17) and Adults (18 and above) in both Classical and Non- Classical categories. All proceeds will benefit Ekal Vidyalaya! Competition rules and judging rubrics will be shared upon registration.
About the Ekal Youth Leader: Aanya Jain is the founder of the "Ekal Dance Deewane" dance competition. Creating this competition has helped Aanya connect with her passions even more and share it with the community. She hopes to create an opportunity for aspiring dancers to express their talent and love for dance while celebrating their culture and growing their passion!
