The International Hindi Association – Indiana is organizing a special webinar on the occasion of the upcoming World Hindi Day, with the theme: “The Economics of Hindi in a Global Perspective.” This webinar will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM EST.
In this event, renowned Hindi scholar, critic, and litterateur, Professor Mithilesh Mishra, will share his insights on the global economic ecosystem of Hindi. The webinar will be live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube.
The impact of a language is determined externally by its usage, applications, and purposes, and internally by its connection to our linguistic identity. These two aspects of Hindi are well known, what is not so well known is that Hindi is no longer limited to expressive functions alone. Over the past several decades, through the active support of institutional support and public participation it has evolved as a powerful medium for business and employment too. Its frequent use in fields such as arts, science, education, agriculture, administration, politics, health, entertainment, and sports, etc. has strengthened and enriched the economics of Hindi. In the coming decades, rapidly expanding global development projects will further enhance the progress, diversity, and reach of the economics of Hindi. Global companies aiming to enter Indian markets will find it increasingly challenging to succeed without aligning themselves with Hindi’s economics. Join us to explore the various facets of Hindi’s economics and recognize its contribution to nation-building.
