    Special Operations hires private investigators to find missing children and vulnerable runaways who are most at risk of being exploited. We provide families support in their time of crisis, and aftercare to the victims once they are returned to their community.

Special Operations | Finding Kids is seeking a zestful and creative Social Media Manager to lead our social media strategy. The ideal candidate will help our organization grow its online presence to better engage with our communities, increase the public’s awareness of our mission and drive our ability to reach and assist more families.

The core duties and activities of the Social Media Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute impactful social media strategies
  • Leveraging our subscription with Hootsuite, optimize a wide variety of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, and LinkedIn.
  • Target specific audiences in the geographies we currently operate in (Northern and Central California, Northern Nevada).
  • Craft high-quality, engaging content (including posts, graphics, videos, and stories).
  • Create and maintain content calendar to ensure consistent, timely postings.
  • Monitor, engage, and respond to comments and messages to build relationships with followers
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize content and strategy.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated passion for our mission
  • Prior experience in a similar role a plus but not required - if prior experience is not available, ability to demonstrate skills and ability to perform the role
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and analytics tools
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite, Canva, and other editing software to create engaging images
  • Prior experience with Hootsuite is a plus
  • Strong work ethic with a curious mind, proactive, with a desire to learn and improve skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team membersExcellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Impressive interpersonal and communication skills
  • Clean background check
