We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Lifecycle Marketing Manager to lead our email and SMS marketing efforts, driving customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and reactivation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of marketing automation, customer journey mapping, and performance analytics—with a strong focus on personalization and optimization across multiple touchpoints.
The ideal candidate has experience managing email and SMS automation workflows, leveraging A/B testing and segmentation strategies, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and other marketing regulations. They will work cross-functionally with Product, Customer Support, Growth, and Creative teams to develop high-impact lifecycle campaigns that enhance customer experience and maximize conversion.
Key Responsibilities
Email & SMS Marketing Automation:
- Develop and execute email and SMS campaigns to drive customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and reactivation.
- Manage and optimize automation workflows across email, SMS, and other owned channels, including onboarding, lifecycle nurturing, retention, and win-back campaigns.
- Utilize A/B testing, segmentation, and personalization strategies to enhance campaign performance.
- Ensure compliance with SMS and email marketing regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.) and maintain high deliverability rates.
Customer Journey & Segmentation
- Design and implement lifecycle marketing strategies to enhance customer experience across multiple touchpoints.
- Leverage customer data platforms to create highly targeted and personalized marketing campaigns.
- Define customer segments based on behavioral, demographic, and transactional data to ensure relevant messaging.
Analytics & Performance Optimization
- Analyze email and SMS campaign performance (open rates, CTRs, conversion rates, revenue impact) to inform optimization strategies.
- Develop reports and insights to track lifecycle marketing effectiveness and share findings with key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for growth through data-driven experimentation across email, SMS, and automation workflows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Customer Support, and Growth teams to align lifecycle marketing initiatives with broader business goals.
- Support multi-channel engagement by integrating email and SMS efforts with push notifications, in-app messaging, and paid media retargeting.
- Partner with creative and content teams to develop compelling messaging and visuals for email and SMS.
Qualifications & Experience
- 4+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, email marketing, or CRM marketing (preferably Healthcare)
- Strong expertise in email and SMS automation platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Braze, Klaviyo etc).
- Familiarity with Segment or other CDPs to enhance audience segmentation and personalization.
- Data-driven mindset with experience in A/B testing, experimentation, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, SQL (preferred but not required), and marketing analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of email & SMS best practices, deliverability, and compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to scope campaign depth and complexity to set expectations with stakeholders.
