An exciting role is open for a Bioinformatics, Technical Product Manager to lead the commercialization of cutting-edge bioinformatics tools and software related to genome mapping technology. This role collaborates with bioinformatics, R&D, sales, marketing, and customers to drive innovative products in genomics. The ideal candidate should have expertise in bioinformatics, genomics, and product management, thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap:
  • Manage product portfolio, including pricing and cloud-based solutions.
  • Define vision and strategy for human genome mapping platforms.
  • Conduct market research and gather feedback to enhance products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Liaison between bioinformatics, R&D, software, and sales teams.
  • Define and prioritize features with bioinformatics scientists and engineers.
  • Provide sales training and technical expertise.
  • Customer Engagement & Market Analysis:
  • Engage with customers to gather feedback and prioritize development.
  • Monitor trends in genomics and bioinformatics.
  • Build relationships with research and clinical institutions.
  • Product Development & Launch:
  • Refine product value propositions for key segments.
  • Manage bioinformatics tool deployment and support troubleshooting.
  • Lead product development cycles from concept to launch.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
  • Leverage customer data and market insights for product improvements.
  • Define and monitor KPIs to track product success.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Genomics, or related field; advanced degrees (PhD, MBA) preferred.
  • 4-6 years in product management, especially in bioinformatics or genomics.
  • Experience with genome sequencing, genome mapping, or bioinformatics tools.
  • Strong project management, communication, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
