AAPI leaders launch MOSAIC for racial justice in California

Launched this year, MOSAIC is created to fill what its founding partners call “a critical gap” in California’s racial equity infrastructure.

The goal, the coalition says, is to build an equity-centered infrastructure strong enough to respond to immediate threats and powerful enough to push for long-term systems change. / MOSAIC

A new coalition of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) organizations has come together to form MOSAIC — Movement Solidarity Among AAPI Communities, a statewide alliance aimed at unifying, connecting, and mobilizing California’s AAPI communities toward racial and economic justice.

Launched this year, MOSAIC is created to fill what its founding partners call “a critical gap” in California’s racial equity infrastructure. The coalition is made up of nine leading AAPI-serving groups that work across direct services, community organizing, policy advocacy, research, and movement building.
