AAPI Legislative Day returns to Capitol Hill on May 8

This year the event will highlight the critical need for immigration reform, particularly in the context of H-1 and J-1 visas used by many South Asian American physicians.

The American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) will hold its annual Legislative Day on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, on May 8. 

The day-long event provides an opportunity for AAPI members to meet with key Congress members and discuss important healthcare policy issues. This year, the event will focus on several crucial topics, including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements, prior authorization, immigration reform, the physician shortage, and the expansion of medical residency slots.
