Venture capitalist Vinod Khosla believes that in the near future, computers will learn 'humans'. Speaking at the recent Abundance Summit 2025, he highlighted that breakthrough technologies will fundamentally transform how we live and work.
Khosla, the co-founder of Sun Microsystems, envisions the next decade to be one where artificial intelligence (AI) will eliminate traditional programming, bipedal robots will outnumber cars, and fusion energy will power up cities. The Indian American businessman believes every employee can write their own applications without going to IT.

In a discussion with entrepreneur Peter H. Diamandis, at the summit, Khosla said every AI will transform virtually every professional domain and within five years, every single professional can get AI interns. He urged executives to integrate AI into every lead of decision-making and asked “Is it open in every board meeting? Is it open in every executive meeting? Are you giving it the same challenges you’re giving your team?”
The founder of Khosla Ventures also foresees the end of physical labor through bipedal robots. He said the business of bipedal robots will be larger than the auto industry within 20 years. The venture capitalist predicts there would be a billion bipedal robots, which will work 24/7 and will outproduce the entire manual labor capacity of humanity, by the year 2040.
