Dr Vivek Lall, the Chief Executive of General Atomics Global Corporation in San Diego, California, has joined Space Policy Institute (SPI) as a non-resident scholar.
SPI said Lall will offer unique perspectives on the intersection of advanced space technologies and global security policies.
“His experience in fostering international defense collaborations, such as his pivotal role in strengthening US – India defense relations and advancing unmanned aircraft systems, positions him to contribute valuable insights into the evolving dynamics of space governance and military applications.”
SPI is looking forward to Lall’s contributions in shaping forward-looking strategies that address critical challenges in space policy and security.

Lall was appointed to the Advisory Board of the Quad Investors Network announced by the White House in 2023. He was also appointed by the Pentagon as a United States Technical Team member to the NATO Science and Technology Organization (STO). Lall is on the Industry Advisory Board of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). He served Vice President of Aeronautics Strategy and Business Development at the world’s largest defense company - Lockheed Martin.
Lall is also on the International Advisory Group of the US Chamber of Commerce as well as Board of Directors of US Japan Business Council and the Global Board of Directors of the US India Business Council in Washington DC. He was conferred the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award by the President of the United States of America in September 2022.
