Indian Consulate in NY to host ‘Harmony in Unity’ event at BAPS

The evening will feature a Community Meet & Greet and tour of the Robbinsville Akshardham.

In an effort to foster cultural unity and engagement among the Indian diaspora and the broader community, the Consulate General of India in New York, in collaboration with BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham is set to host a community gathering event on April 5.

The event, titled “Harmony in Unity - Progress for All,” will take place at the BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham temple in Robbinsville, New Jersey.

The evening will feature a Community Meet & Greet, allowing participants to connect and engage in discussions on topics relevant to the Indian diaspora. A guided tour of the Akshardham temple will provide insight into the temple’s architectural brilliance, historical significance, and spiritual essence. 


 



The event will conclude with a cultural program showcasing India’s diverse artistic expressions through music, dance, and storytelling. 

Located in Robbinsville, New Jersey, the BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham is among the largest Hindu temples outside India, attracting visitors from across the world. Renowned for its intricate hand-carved stonework, the temple represents centuries of craftsmanship and devotion. It serves as a center for spiritual learning, cultural preservation, and social initiatives.

Over the years, the temple has hosted numerous dignitaries and global leaders. In October 2024, a delegation of 14 Consuls General from the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York visited the temple to mark its first anniversary.

Registration for the event is required and must be completed by March 30.
