Washington, March 13: The United States on Thursday imposed sanctions on Iran’s Petroleum Minister Mohsen Paknejad and several other companies, including those from India and China, for owning or operating vessels that have delivered Iranian oil to China.

“The Iranian regime continues to use the proceeds from the nation’s vast oil resources to advance its narrow, alarming self-interests at the expense of the Iranian people,” said Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent.
