Tumpa Roy recognized with 2025 Top Women in Media & Ad Tech Award

Senior Vice President of Engineering at Blockboard, Tumpa Roy has been recognized as one of the Top Women in Media & Ad Tech 2025. This prestigious award, presented by AdExchanger and AdMonsters, celebrates the women leading innovation and transformation across the digital media and advertising technology landscape.

In a statement, Admonsters said the 2025 Top Women in Media & Ad Tech Awards Gala will be held on June.5, 2025, in New York City. Honorees from across the industry will be celebrated for their groundbreaking achievements, leadership, and contributions to shaping the future of digital media and technology.

Roy joins the ranks of Buy-Side Tech Trailblazers - a group of women who have broken barriers in the traditionally male-dominated fields of product development and engineering within the media and advertising industries. She is a seasoned technology executive with over eight years of experience leading software development teams and driving digital transformation initiatives.

In a post on LinkedIn, Roy said she is incredibly proud to be named one of the 2025 Top Women in Media & Ad Tech by AdExchanger and AdMonsters. “To be recognized alongside so many inspiring and talented women in our industry is truly humbling.” Roy thanked the team at Blockboard for their support, belief and collaboration. “This recognition is as much yours as it is mine,” she added.

At Blockboard, as per Roy’s profile on SuperAGI, she oversees the company’s technology strategy, managing a team of software engineers, and ensuring the delivery of innovative and scalable software solutions. 

With a distinguished career in engineering leadership, Roy brings extensive expertise in AWS, Java, JavaScript, SQL, ad-bidding systems, and cloud infrastructure management. The young executive is known for her strategic vision, technical excellence, and ability to lead cross-functional teams toward building high-performing, reliable platforms capable of handling significant user traffic.

Her contributions extend beyond corporate leadership. Being a passionate mentor and lifelong learner, Roy has made significant strides in advancing machine learning, blockchain, and cloud architecture innovations. She has also demonstrated her commitment to research and academic excellence through the publication of three IEEE papers and five Springer papers in computer science.
