US revokes visa of Indian student at Columbia University

Ranjani self-deported after her F-1 visa was revoked.

The United States on March 14 announced that it has revoked the student visa of an Indian studying at the prestigious Columbia University for advocating violence and supporting the cause of Hamas, a designated terrorist organization.

The Department of Homeland Security identified the student as Ranjani Srinivasan, an Indian citizen and national who entered the United States on an F-1 student visa as a doctoral student in urban planning at Columbia University.
