India’s rich culinary heritage has been celebrated globally as seven Indian restaurants earned a place on TasteAtlas' list of the 100 Most Iconic Restaurants in the World 2024.

Renowned for its Biryani, Paragon has been serving its iconic dish since its establishment in 1939. This Kozhikode gem represents Kerala’s culinary excellence, attracting food enthusiasts from across the globe.
A beloved name in Kolkata, Peter Cat, established in 1975, is celebrated for its Chelow Kebabs. Located in the city’s bustling heart, the restaurant reportedly serves over 100 plates of this signature dish daily.
What started in 1956 as a truck driver’s food stop has grown into a culinary institution. Known for its Aloo Paratha, Amrik Sukhdev offers a variety of Indian dishes, making it a favorite for road trip enthusiasts.
Nestled in Old Delhi since 1913, Karim's is synonymous with Mughlai cuisine. Its Korma stands out as a signature dish, drawing locals and tourists alike to its historic lanes.
A Bengaluru classic since the 1920s, Central Tiffin Room (CTR) is famed for its Benne Masala Dosa. This affordable eatery continues to win hearts and accolades for its authentic South Indian flavors.
Established in 1959, Gulati is a beacon of Mughlai cuisine in Delhi. Its Butter Chicken, among other delicacies, has made it a favorite for generations.
Operating since 1939, Ram Ashraya specializes in South Indian cuisine. Its Upma and other dishes draw long queues daily, embodying Mumbai’s vibrant food culture.
“Among 23,952 traditional eateries in our database, these stand out as cultural landmarks. Renowned for their longevity, reliability, and iconic dishes, they are more than just dining spots—they embody the spirit of their cities. The ranking reflects their history, public ratings, and TasteAtlas scores for their signature dishes,” said TasteAtlas in a statement.
