The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced the granting of US citizenship to 99-year-old Daibai, originally from India. USCIS described Daibai as "lively" as she took the Oath of Allegiance in the agency's Orlando office, accompanied by her daughter and the administering USCIS officer.
They say age is just a number. That seems true for this lively 99-year-old who became a #NewUSCitizen in our Orlando office. Daibai is from India and was excited to take the Oath of Allegiance. She's pictured with her daughter and our officer who swore her in. Congrats Daibai! pic.twitter.com/U0WU31Vufx

The moment was shared by USCIS on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), capturing Daibai proudly displaying her citizenship certificate while seated in a wheelchair alongside her daughter and the USCIS officer.
The USCIS, responsible for managing various immigration processes including immigrant visa petitions, naturalization applications, and asylum applications, also oversees petitions for non-immigrant temporary workers like H-1B visas, which are commonly utilized by Indian professionals in the US tech industry.
