Khanderao Kand, president of the Foundation for India and Indian Diaspora Studies (FIIDS), a diaspora -centric think tank described the recently concluded India Advocacy Summit on Capitol Hill as a “historic day” for the diaspora and US-India ties.
“It has been a historic day. The Foundation for India and Indian Diaspora Studies (FIIDS) hosted almost 140 delegates from 22 different states in the USA. We had 83 appointments the whole day,” Kand said in an interview with New India Abroad.
The event, which saw the participation of nearly 140 delegates from 22 states across the US, included 83 appointments with elected officials to discuss pivotal issues affecting US-India relations.
