On November 6–7, religious leaders from around the world will gather in Abu Dhabi for a conference hosted by UN Environment and COP28 to discuss the climate change catastrophe, the ongoing conflicts in Israel and Palestine and the Ukraine, and other global issues such as religious intolerance.
A common declaration in which ideas for resolving this global catastrophe will be discussed on the final day of the conference The founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti and peace ambassador, Acharya Lokesh will be participating in the conference, which will also be attended by Pope Francis.
According to a release by Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti, on the sidelines of the conference, Acharya Lokesh will make Pope Francis aware of his concern about the growing religious intolerance in the world and the crisis arising from climate change.
He will present a concrete action plan to increase peace, goodwill and brotherhood in the world and also extend an invitation to Pope Francis to attend the opening of the World Peace Center that Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti is establishing in India.
“At this point, it is undeniably acknowledged by the United Nations, Parliament of World Religions, UNICEF, UNESCO, and all other international organizations that religion has the power to bring about any significant change in India,” the religious leader said ahead of his visit.
