Indian golfer, Aditi Ashok, ended her season at the Andalucia Open 2023 by securing her fifth Ladies European Tour (LET) title and marking her second win of the season on November 26.

The 25-year-old golfer carded a 17-under 271 (69-68-68-66), finishing two strokes ahead of the Netherlands' Anne Van Dam, who carded a 15-under, and Spain's Ana Pelaez Trivino, who shot 13-under.

Ashok, a two-time Olympian, was tied for second place after the initial three days of the tournament. On the final day, with just one birdie in the front nine, she sunk five birdies in the back nine without a single bogey, securing first place on the scoreboard.

Ashok had previously won the season-opening Kenya Ladies Open. The win at Andalucia Open marked her second LET title of the season and her fifth overall, the last being the 2017 Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Ashok made history by winning the Women's India Open and later clinching the Qatar Open in 2016. Despite narrowly missing out on an Olympic medal in 2021, she became the first Indian woman to secure a golf medal at the Asian Games with a silver at Hangzhou 2023.

Joining Ashok in the competition, Diksha Dagar, a 22-year-old Olympian, finished seventh with a score of 10-under (72-71-68-67). Dagar had secured a LET title earlier at the Czech Ladies Open, becoming her second title. Moreover, Dagar is the only Indian woman golfer with multiple LET titles besides Ashok.

Ashok finished fourth, while Dagar secured the third spot, marking the first instance in history that two Indian golfers achieved top-five standings in the LET season.
