Indian actors Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth Suryanarayan announced their engagement on March 28, after multiple speculations of them tying the knot emerged recently.
The duo, who sparked romance rumors during the filming of their 2021 movie, ‘Maha Samudram’ took to Instagram to show their rings. In a post, Hydari wrote, “He said yes! E. N. G. A. G. E. D.” accompanied by a picture showing off their sparkling engagement rings.
Siddharth shared the same photo on his account, writing, “She Said YES! E. N. G. A. G. E. D.” The couple’s choice of location for the announcement, Srirangapuram near Wanaparthy, coincides with the venue where rumors of their wedding initially surfaced.
Hydari, an actress known for her work in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu cinema, made her mark with performances in films like ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘Rockstar.’ She was previously married to Satydeep Mishra, but separated in 2012. Mishra is now married to House of Masaba’s founder, Masaba Gupta.
Siddharth, on the other hand, starred in films like ‘Rang De Basanti’ and ‘Bommarillu.’ He turned to filmmaking after completing his studies in business management. He started as an assistant to Mani Ratnam. His debut on the screen came in Shankar Shanmugam’s 2003 Tamil film, ‘Boys’.
Later, Ratnam cast him in ‘Aayutha Ezhuthu’ in 2004, further solidifying his presence in the industry. He also starred in Bollywood films, like ‘Rang De Basanti’. He was married to Meghna in 2003, but the couple separated in 2007.
The duo, Hydari and Siddharth, met in the 2021 Telugu-language romantic action drama film set. Directed by Ajay Bhupathi and produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara, ‘Maha Samudram’ also starred Sharwanand and Anu Emmanuel. Set against the backdrop of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, the film was a mix of romance and action.
