Ajay Bhutoria appointed to DNC rules committee

California Democrat and prominent Indian American community leader, Ajay Bhutoria, has been appointed to the rules committee of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) 2024, to be held in Chicago from Aug 19-23. 

In his role as a member of the rules committee, Bhutoria will help shape the convention's procedural rules, agenda, and officer selections in close collaboration with other committee members. 

The DNC Convention is comprised of three standing committees, each of which is assigned a distinct set of responsibilities. Disputes regarding delegate recognition and seating are resolved by the credentials committee in conjunction with the rules committee, while the platform committee is responsible for the development of the party's proposed platform on a variety of topics.
 



Bhutoria's appointment underscores the significance of California's representation and the inclusivity within the Democratic Party. Additionally, it highlights the vital role of Indian American leaders within the Democratic Party and underscores their contributions to shaping its future trajectory. As
