The film follows the journey of a visionary woman who defies societal norms by providing education to young girls in a country where such efforts are often met with resistance. As the students’ groundbreaking innovations garner international recognition, they face increasing opposition. Despite the looming threats and personal sacrifices, their determination sparked a movement that could change the course of history.

Fazal made his Hollywood debut in 2015 with a special appearance in Furious 7, the seventh installment of The Fast and the Furious franchise. Fazal gained further recognition for his roles in Victoria & Abdul (2017) and the critically acclaimed web series Mirzapur.

In Rule Breakers, he joins an ensemble cast that includes Nikohl Boosheri as Roya Mahboob, the driving force behind the robotics team, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge in a supporting role. Fazal’s participation in Rule Breakers adds another notable international project to his growing filmography, further solidifying his presence in global cinema.

Rule Breakers is set for release in cinemas across the United States and Canada on the eve of International Women’s Day, underscoring the film’s themes of gender equality and empowerment. Additional international release dates are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
