This sitcom is about two pampered brothers who lose everything when their convenience store magnate father unexpectedly passes away. The series is funny and well written and the acting is nuanced!

2. One Day (2024)

One Day is a romantic drama series that follows the 20-year relationship of Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew, who meet on their graduation night from the University of Edinburgh. Each episode revisits them on the same date, July 15th, every year, exhibiting the evolution of their connection, their individual lives, and the complexities of love and friendship. In this show, Ambika Mod, an actress of Indian-origin, delivers a critically acclaimed performance as the lead character, Emma Morley. Ambika in her portrayal as Emma comes across as relatable and extremely authentic.

3. Wolfs (2024)

This movie shows rival fixers cross paths when they’re both called in to help cover up a leading New York official’s misstep. Actress Poorna Jagannathan in Wolfs brings her characteristic depth and nuance to the role of June, further solidifying her presence in diverse and compelling movies. In this movie, Jagannathan stands her ground with leading actors like Brad Pitt and George Clooney. 

4. Picture This (2025)

This recently released movie shows Pia, a struggling photographer, receiving a prediction that true love awaits in her next five dates. With her sister’s wedding around the corner and her family playing matchmaker, her ex reappears, throwing her love life into chaos. This entertaining movie features a notable Indian-origin cast, including Sindhu Vee and Nikesh Patel, among others, contributing to the film’s diverse ensemble. 5. Mean Girls (2024)

Mean Girls is a musical comedy movie that reimagines the classic 2004 story, following a new student navigating the treacherous social hierarchy of high school and confronting a popular group of girls known as the Plastics. This film features Avantika Vandanapu, an actress of Indian-origin, in a prominent role as Karen Shetty. Vandanapu was lauded for her screen presence and excellent comic timing.

6. Alien: Earth (2025) 

Alien: Earth is an upcoming 2025 FX science fiction horror television series that serves as a prequel to the Alien film franchise. Alien: Earth is slated for a 2025 release and the pivotal character of Dr Raj Patel will be played by actor Adarsh Gourav. Additionally, actress Richa Moorjani will also be playing an important character as well. 

7. The Perfect Couple (2024)

The Perfect Couple is a mystery drama miniseries where an over-the-top Nantucket wedding is disrupted by a murder, turning every guest into a suspect and revealing hidden secrets among the seemingly perfect families involved. In the show, Ishaan Khatter, portrays the character of Shooter Dival. Audiences praised Ishaan Khatter’s portrayal of Shooter Dival, describing it as vulnerable and sensitive.

Actor Suraj Sharma plays the character of Sid, who is a main member of the friend group and a bar owner.
