American Tower Corporation names Rajesh Kalathur to its board

American Tower Corporation, a Boston-based real estate investment trust, has elected Rajesh Kalathur to its board of directors.
Kalathur, an industry veteran with extensive experience in finance, technology, and strategic operations, currently serves as president of John Deere Financial and chief information officer (CIO) of Deere & Company.
With a career spanning nearly three decades, Kalathur has been instrumental in driving digital transformation and financial growth at John Deere. As CIO, he led the company’s transition to an agile IT model and spearheaded advancements in artificial intelligence and automation. His tenure as chief financial officer saw record-breaking profitability and a significant expansion of Deere’s financial services portfolio.
Steve Vondran, president and CEO of American Tower, highlighted Kalathur’s leadership and expertise as valuable assets for the company’s continued growth. “Raj has extensive global financial, technical and operating experience, demonstrated leadership in transformation and is a strong fit with our core principles.”
“We believe Raj will add critical perspective as we continue to optimize and grow our dynamic global business, enhance our market leadership and generate compelling value for our shareholders,” Vondran stated.
Kalathur was recognized by the University of Alabama College of Engineering as a distinguished engineering fellow and serves as the vice chair of the Iowa Business Council.
He has a master’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Alabama and an MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
