Anand Mela resumes after pandemic hiatus in Addison, Il

The Anand Mela event, organized at Shreejidwar Haveli in Addison, Illinois took place on Oct. 6. It had been on hold for the past five years due to the pandemic.

The youth leaders and Vaishnav Samaj of Midwest (VSM)Trustees Umang Patel, Tirath Desai, and Kamlesh Mehta organized the event with their team of volunteers.

Umang and Paragi Patel, Jyotin and Komal Parikh, Rajesh and Nita Shah, along with Kamlesh and Dina Shah, commended the volunteers for their hard work, and expressed their appreciation, “This has been a very successful event. The unity of the Vaishnav community and the dedication of our volunteers were key to making this happen.”

All donations collected from the Anand Mela will help the local community, showing the event’s focus on giving back. The feeling of togetherness and joy made it a special day for everyone.

Anand Mela was a festival filled with food, fun, and activities for all ages, attracting both regular visitors and newcomers. Guests enjoyed a wide variety of Indian dishes from numerous food stalls, along with assorted drinks. The marketplace featured an exciting selection of clothing, jewelry, home decor, and Diwali decorations.
