Indian-American therapist, and mental health advocate, Anu Vora, was featured in Forbes’ 30 under 30 local Cincinnati 2024 list.

The 28-year-old has been recognised for revolutionizing the mental health industry through her company, Mindfully Behavioral Health. Based in Cincinnati, Vora co-founded the startup in 2021 to improve access to mental health services in Ohio, Kentucky, Colorado, and Texas.

Her company has facilitated over 200,000 therapy sessions in 2023 and employs about 400 people, significantly enhancing mental health care accessibility.
Upon the recognition, Vora commented “A huge shout out to the amazing team at Mindfully who make work more fun than it’s ever been. Feeling grateful for the opportunities I get to focus on every day, and for the chance to serve our communities in a tangible way. I’m not great at processing recognition, but this is an important reminder to pause and reflect on how far we’ve come in 2.5 years.”

Vora's inspiration for Mindfully Behavioral Health came after she sold her first startup at 25. Despite her business success, she struggled with her own mental health and encountered difficulties finding a therapist. This experience motivated her to create a company that connects patients with therapists for in-person and telehealth sessions, focusing on providing compassionate care to children, adolescents, and adults.

Beyond her work at Mindfully, Vora is the founder and managing partner of Candid Ventures, a venture studio focused on healthcare and education. Candid Ventures supports underrepresented founders and aims to tackle societal challenges with innovative solutions.

Vora's educational background includes studies in political science and entrepreneurship at the University of Michigan and a summer program in public finance at the London School of Economics.
