Global Indians for Bharat Vikas, in collaboration with Global Citizens Forum and Rajarshi Bhupendra Modi recently hosted a musical evening of Bhajans by celebrated Bhajan artist, Anup Jalota, in New York. The Padma Shri awardee was greeted and felicitated by Pramit Maakoday, the director of Global Indians for Bharat Vikas, and Jagdish Sehwani. According to an official statement, the sold out concert attracted over 1000 attendees who came together to celebrate the spirit of global citizenship and unity. Prominent spiritual leaders, Swami Sri Chidanand Saraswati and Saraswati Bhagwati also graced the event with their presence.

“The soul-stirring Bhajans by Anup Jalota, the Bhajan Samrat, elevated the spiritual atmosphere of the gathering, resonating deeply with the hearts of the attendees,” the organizers said in a statement. “His mellifluous voice and devotional renditions created an ambiance of tranquility and devotion.” A film documentary on the life of revered 8th-century sage Adi Shankaracharya, was screened at the beginning of the event to provide a profound insight into the legacy and teachings of the great spiritual leader.
Emcees Ashish Khanna and Jagdish Sehwani, hosted the concert and guided the proceedings. The event concluded with the distribution of prasad to all attendees, symbolizing the spirit of communal sharing and togetherness. “The event highlighted the joint efforts of Global Citizens Forum, and Rajarshi Bhupendra Modi, who collaborated to create a platform for fostering meaningful connections among individuals from diverse backgrounds, embodying the essence of global citizenship,” the organizers said.
