Arizona State University (ASU) has recorded a remarkable 79 percent increase in international student graduates between 2020 and 2024. This growth reflects ASU's expanding global reach, with students from all corners of the world represented in the fall 2024 commencement class.
ASU's commitment to fostering future leaders and innovators is highlighted in the ASU Doors Are Open to the World report, which ranks it as the No. 1 public university for international students. With over 17,600 students from 160 countries, ASU creates a thriving global community.
For four years in a row, the Institute of International Education (IIE) has recognized ASU as the top public university choice for international students. Additionally, ASU hosts an annual Open Door event, offering interactive activities for the local community.
ASU's success is not just in numbers but in the individual stories of achievement. One such graduate is Ritisha Das from India, a proud recipient of a degree from the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering. Ritisha aspires to become an astronaut, focusing on Mars exploration and improving the health of breast cancer survivors through humanitarian engineering.
ASU President Michael Crow emphasized during the fall commencement ceremony on Dec.16, "What we do is create an environment in which you are advancing new ideas, new concepts, and new theories at the highest order. People have sent you here. They support you. They want you to do great things."
Ranked No. 2 in the U.S. for employability, ASU graduates are equipped to enter the workforce and make a significant impact on the world. These international graduates are poised to succeed and change the world, and we would be thrilled to connect you with some of these inspiring individuals for interviews or feature stories.
