The Ascend Foundation has awarded eight Indian-origin executives with the A-List Award honoring their contributions to business, innovation, and community leadership.
They include Amit Zavery, Fareed Zakaria, Agam Upadhyay, Amrita Patel,Sanjiv Lamba, Gurpreet Singh, Anjuli Kelotra, and Hari Gopalkrishnan.
Amit Zavery, president, chief product officer, and chief operating officer at ServiceNow, is a pioneer in enterprise software solutions. Previously a leader at Google Cloud, he has driven innovation in AI, automation, and cloud computing. His work has transformed digital workflows for businesses worldwide.
Fareed Zakaria, the host of CNN’s "Fareed Zakaria GPS," is a renowned journalist, political commentator, and bestselling author. Known for his deep insights on global affairs, he has interviewed world leaders and shaped policy discussions. He writes a weekly column for The Washington Post and is a contributing editor for the Atlantic Media group, which includes The Atlantic Monthly.
As a global CTO and head of global product and technology organization, Agam Upadhyay provides strategic direction for digital and technology landscape for GSK. He has led transformative projects in AI, data analytics, and cloud computing. His leadership has enhanced GSK’s digital capabilities, accelerating drug discovery and patient care.
Gurpreet Singh, is a partner, elected to the board of directors at PwC and is a global health client leader. He is responsible for PwC's executive forums with all major health services providers and hospitals in the US and a global relationship partner for PwC's key Pharmaceutical and Life Science clients. He is known for his ability to blend technology with healthcare innovation.
Amrita Patel, head of Wells Fargo Equipment Finance, specializes in strategic financing solutions for businesses. Her expertise includes asset-based lending, risk management, and financial structuring. Patel has helped businesses navigate complex financial landscapes with tailored solutions. She is recognized for her contributions to the growth of the equipment finance sector.
Sanjiv Lamba, CEO of Linde, he leads one of the world’s largest industrial gas companies. Prior to being appointed CEO, Lamba was chief operating officer after serving as executive vice president, APAC. His leadership has driven sustainable innovations in energy and manufacturing. Lamba has played a key role in advancing hydrogen and clean energy technologies. His strategic vision focuses on balancing business growth with environmental responsibility.
Anjuli Kelotra, chief ethics and compliance officer at The Coca-Cola Company, ensures corporate integrity and ethical business practices. She specializes in governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Kelotra’s work safeguards corporate reputation and operational transparency.
Hari Gopalkrishnan, managing director of client facing platforms technology at Bank of America, he leads digital innovations for financial services. His expertise spans fintech, AI, and customer experience technologies. Gopalkrishnan has enhanced digital banking solutions for millions of customers. His work focuses on making financial services more accessible and efficient.
The foundation is set to host its annual A-List Awards Gala on April 29, 2025, at The Plaza Hotel in New York City, honoring these leaders. Award-winning journalist Richard Lui will serve as the evening's master of ceremonies.
