In a celebration of Indian culture and the principles of yogic philosophy, Madame Tussauds in New York has revealed the wax figure of esteemed Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev.
The unveiling ceremony, conducted in New Delhi, signifies a milestone in the global acknowledgment of Yoga and Ayurveda. Baba Ramdev, a figure synonymous with the contemporary yoga movement, is known for his distinctive amalgamation of traditional yogic practices and principles of Ayurveda.
He has pioneered a transformative approach in India and countries across the world. Tiago Magodouro, a spokesperson for Madame Tussauds New York, said, “His relentless dedication to spreading the knowledge of Yoga and Ayurveda aligns perfectly with our mission to celebrate figures who have significantly influenced society.”
Addressing the gathering at the unveiling ceremony, Ramdev expressed his gratitude and the broader significance of this honor. “Being immortalized at Madame Tussauds is not just a personal accolade, but a recognition of the global influence of Indian culture, particularly Yoga and Ayurveda,” he said.

The wax figure of Baba Ramdev carved in the Vrikshasana (standing on one leg) pose is scheduled to be on public display in New York starting in late February.
