Bihar Foundation of USA – West Coast Chapter (BFOUSA-WCC) celebrated Bihar Diwas, marking the 112th anniversary of Bihar’s establishment on Apr. 7 at Aria Dining in Milpitas, California, attracting a sizable crowd from across the United States, particularly from the San Francisco Bay Area.
Deepak Sharma, secretary of BFOUSA – WCC, welcomed the gathering, followed by an inaugural speech by Rajiv Sinha, chairman of BFOUSA – WCC.
The chief guests included Rakesh Adlakha, Deputy Consulate General of India, San Francisco, and Alex Lee, Assembly member, 24th district, California.
Other notable attendees included Raj Salwan, council member running for Mayor Fremont, and community leaders such as Ritesh Tandon, Tara, and Mahesh Bajoria.
Rajiv Sinha reiterated the mission of Bihar Foundation, an initiative of the Government of Bihar, emphasizing bonding, branding, and business in Bihar.
Dr. Jayant Kumar, director of BFOUSA – WCC, outlined the chapter’s key programs, including "Adopt A Village" and "Bihar Business Connect," aimed at addressing issues like blindness in Bihar and facilitating business connections.
