The largest aircraft manufacturer in the world, Boeing, has opened its distribution center in Khurja, Uttar Pradesh, India. The state-of-the-art 36,000-square-foot warehouse will help regional aviation customers, demonstrating Boeing's commitment to providing effective, affordable, and local solutions.

Working in tandem with industry powerhouse DB Schenker, the warehouse emphasizes cutting-edge practices, employee security, and environmental responsibility, the firm said in a statement.

“The Boeing India Distribution Centre illustrates Boeing’s commitment to supporting the growth of this market, aligned with the Government’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision,” said Salil Gupte, president of Boeing India.

“Working together with DB Schenker enhances Boeing's distribution network's operational excellence even more. Pleased about the relationship,” said Kinjal Pande, CEO of DB Schenker, Cluster India, and Indian Subcontinent. "We're excited to collaborate with Boeing on constructing an advanced aviation-focused facility in India."

The facility's proximity to Delhi and the future Jewar airport, as well as its location along India's Eastern Freight Corridor, demonstrate Boeing's dedication to supporting India's aspirations for development and autonomy. With the help of this facility, the maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) industry in the region will be able to meet the critical demand for replacement parts for Boeing aircraft in India, while also reducing lead times and increasing availability.

Boeing has established a Global Support Center in Gurgaon and partnered with GMR Aero Technic to build a Boeing Converted Freighter line in Hyderabad; this project was in line with their multiple investments in India. To meet India's anticipated demand for pilots over the next two decades, Boeing will invest $100 million in pilot training programs and infrastructure.
