Noted Bollywood art director Nitin Chandrakant Desai was found dead in his studio premises in Karjat, Maharashtra on August 2. The 58-year-old reportedly committed suicide due to his ongoing financial struggles and a recent insolvency petition filed against his company, ND's Art World Pvt Ltd.
Desai was famously known for his work in iconic films like "Lagaan" and "Devdas”. His studio on the outskirts of Mumbai, was not only a site of cinematic creativity but also played host to various ventures, including the replication of historical monuments and the provision of services related to hospitality, themed dining, retail, and entertainment.
