Indian students studying abroad have faced 91 reported incidents of violent attacks over the last five years, resulting in 30 deaths across 12 countries, according to data released by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, presented the figures in parliament on April 4 while assuring that the safety and security of Indian students overseas remains a "foremost priority" for the Government of India.
