The Chicago INDO US Lions Club has partnered with an Indian nonprofit, MIBG Foundation to launch a blanket distribution drive across India.

The initiative aims to provide relief to vulnerable communities across the country who are struggling to cope with harsh weather conditions during the winter season.

Kishan Trivedi, president of the Chicago INDO US Lions Club, highlighted the significance of the initiative, stating, “This collaboration underscores the impact of collective action. A simple blanket can make a substantial difference for someone enduring a severe cold.”

Deepak Nayak, chairman of the MIBG Foundation, described the partnership as a crucial step in reaching communities in need. “The effort reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that no one is left to face winter without basic support,” he said.

The initiative has reportedly reached multiple regions, with both organizations emphasizing their dedication to expanding the program.

The Chicago INDO US Lions Club is known for its community service activities, including healthcare, education, and disaster relief. The MIBG Foundation focuses on empowering underprivileged communities through education, healthcare, and welfare initiatives under its "Made in Bharat" program.
