Raj Juneja has been appointed as the president of Cisco Canada on Jan. 28, effective from Feb. 1. Juneja takes over from Shannon Leininger, who led Cisco Canada for four years before transitioning to vice president of Global Partner Sales at Cisco.
Cisco is a global technology leader, revolutionizing connectivity and security in the AI era, and is committed to creating a more connected and inclusive future.
Juneja brings almost 30 years of experience in the technology sector. His deep understanding of data-driven connections and security positions him well to lead Cisco Canada through its next phase of growth and innovation.
“It’s a privilege to take on this role at such an important time for Canada, our customers, partners, and the industry,” said Juneja. “AI, cybersecurity, and the network have never been more important. The decisions and investments organizations make today will set the stage for future growth and success.”
Discussing his new role, Juneja added, “I’m excited to work with our employees, customers, and partner ecosystem to deliver value and create a more secure and connected future.”
Juneja emphasized the strength of Cisco Canada’s team and its innovative initiatives. “From our incredible Canadian talent to our strong track record of made-in-Canada innovation to the work of our Digital Impact Office, Cisco Canada has the right strategy to deliver impact,” he said. “We’ll continue to bring these strengths to bear to lift our teams, our customers and partners, and the Canadian community.”
Before joining Cisco, Juneja led Splunk’s Canada business as country manager, where he achieved strong business performance since 2022. He joined Cisco through the acquisition of Splunk, which closed in March 2024.
Previously, Juneja held leadership roles at Salesforce (MuleSoft), including Country Leader for the Financial Services vertical and Vice President of Sales. His teams consistently delivered double-digit growth and record-breaking performance.
Juneja began his career at CA Technologies, which was acquired by Broadcom in 2018. Over his 21-year tenure, he held several leadership roles and earned recognition as a top global leader.
Nick Michaelides, SVP of Americas Sales at Cisco, expressed confidence in Juneja’s leadership.
“Raj brings a depth of experience and insight that will continue to strengthen the best-in-class culture and performance of Cisco Canada,” Michaelides said. “His tenure at Splunk adds a deeper layer to this, which will enrich the experience and perspective of the team as Cisco continues the evolution of our portfolio and solutions. I am confident about the impact Raj will have on the team, our customers, and our Cisco partners as we move forward.”
